Thank you Kristin!

This week we saw a significant change in the Foundation. Earlier this year our team’s beloved Kristin Douma who was the behind the scenes amazing project manager for Tour for Kids and the glue that held our office together told us the exciting news that she wanted to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a teacher.

Being the people we are we were obviously so happy and excited the day she told us a few months later that she had been accepted to the University of Victoria to become a teacher.

Little did we know the mixed emotions we would feel when we finally accepted that Kristin was no longer going to be with us. Our team is amazing. Selfless. Hardworking. And always focused on our goal of creating a designation beyond cancer. And Kristin was very much part of that ethos. While we are so very happy for her future, if I can be honest it is like losing a kid to university or a member of the family to a distance part of Canada.

To our amazing Kristin we want to wish you all the best. We have no doubt you will change kids lives in your role as a teacher just like you did as part of the team at Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation focused on changing the lives of kids living with and beyond cancer.

For that we will always love you for who you are and what you stand for.

Feel the love my friend!
