Type of cancer that has affected me or my family: Medula Blastoma
Number of years on treatment: 1 year
Number of celebrated years off treatment: 13 years
My toughest challenge with childhood cancer: Fitting in with people / relating with people
Describe some great things that have come about through your journey of childhood cancer. – Being able to be a role model for younger survivors. – My musical talent / ear / understanding
Describe your Best Day: Sitting in bed playing with another kid in the hospital
Tell us about your Worst Day: I remember being face down in a pillow while doctors were taking the staples out of the back of my head
Tell us what Coast to Coast Against Cancer means to me: Coast to Coast is a great foundation working towards fundraising money to make life more enjoyable, likeable for kids who have just gone through treatment for cancer.
Tell us what your message is to our riders, volunteers, sponsors and all Canadians: Fellow volunteers, riders, and to my fellow Canadians: Cancer is a disease that takes away children’s childhood. We are here to raise money and to give children back their childhood.
Share with us any other personal thoughts: To give back what was lost, to give back what we can and help these children have a new start and a fresh start to their lives!!
