Diagnosed at age 38 with breast Cancer. By the time it was discovered (by accident after falling and bruising her chest, the cancer had progressed. Ridiculous gaffs and waits on the part of the Saskatewan health system resulted in delays that allowed the cancer to progress to the lymph nodes. Radical surgery was required followed by Chemo and radiation treatments. Once in remission, the cancer came back and was missed again her GP. A new doctor and she was diagnosed as terminal. More chemo. She survived. A third later round was necessary.
