Mom was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in 1986. She had her kidney removed with follow up chemo treatment. However the cancer spread to the other kidney, lung and eventually the brain.

During the year after Mom’s kidney was removed she recovered well and travelled through Europe to visit family and went to the Caribbean with my dad. However, the cancer did come back.

Mom struggled through medication with many reactions and side effects and eventually mom went into a coma and passed away on April 12, 1988 peacefully at Mississauga Trillium Hospital.
