Jeff Rushton, a local amateur 39 year old cyclist supported
by Kevin Wallace, founder of Gears
Bike Shop in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada are determined to make an impact
on cancer by raising donations to support cancer prevention, detection
and treatment. Since cancer knows no borders, 2002 fundraising events
will extend to both United States and Canada through two ambitious endurance
events: a 24-day Coast to Coast Ride in January across the United States,
and a 24-hour Spin-a-thon in Toronto, Canada in February. Jeff hopes to
personally raise over $100,000 for two great charities; Lance Armstrong
Foundation (LAF) and Trillium Breast Cancer Fund.
